EDA GOVERNANCE

The EDA is governed by elected directors who set the strategic direction for the association and a skilled, experienced leadership team that oversees EDA operations. Activities and decisions of the board of directors are guided by the EDA’s By-laws, Guidelines and Terms of Reference.

EDA By-laws

As a not-for-profit corporation, the EDA has a set of corporate by-laws that governs the operation of the association. Among other strategic and operational considerations, the EDA by-laws outline:

  • The eligibility requirements and privileges of EDA membership
  • The roles, responsibilities and authority of directors
  • The roles, responsibilities and authority of board executives
  • The roles, responsibilities and authority of EDA Councils and Districts.

The EDA by-laws are approved and ratified by the membership. The EDA By-laws, Guidelines and Terms of Reference document was last updated in March 2022.
