Enhancing Efficiency and Reducing Costs for Telecommunications Attachments

As part of the Government of Ontario’s commitment to provide high-speed internet service to all communities by the end of 2025, the Ministry of Infrastructure (MOI) and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) have worked closely with Hydro One to enhance the efficiency and reduce the cost associated with make ready work necessary to secure fibre attachment to hydro poles. As Internet Service Providers (ISPs) seek a consistent experience working with LDCs across Ontario, MOI and the EDA have arranged for this presentation to provide LDCs an overview of which make ready innovations have met with approval from the ISP community and have found success driving broadband projects forward expeditiously. At this presentation, you will hear from representatives of IO and Hydro One on what make ready innovations are in-field today. Members will be given a chance to ask IO questions.
