Greater Sudbury Hydro Supports Pediatric Care Through e-BillCampaign

Greater Sudbury Hydro is giving customers a simple way to support local healthcare while making the switch to paperless billing.

Through its new Small Switch, Big Impact campaign, Greater Sudbury Hydro (GSH) and its parent company and Greater Sudbury Utilities (GSU) will donate $10 to the HSN Foundation's NEO Kids Pediatric Care Fund for every eligible customer who signs up for e-billing between September 1 and November 30, 2026.

The campaign aims to raise up to $25,000, which would be achieved through 2,500 new e-billing registrations. The funds will help support pediatric care services for children and families across Northeastern Ontario.

For customers, the program offers benefits beyond the donation. E-billing provides convenient access to account information, reduces paper use, and helps simplify bill management, explainsLeah Edwardson, Customer Service Supervisor at GSUs

"This campaign is truly a win-win for our customers and our community," said Edwardson. “Customers can reduce paper use while helping support a cause that "will make a meaningful difference for children and families across Northeastern Ontario."

Customers who register for e-billing during the campaign will also be entered into a monthly draw for a chance to win a $200 bill credit. One winner will be selected each month throughout the three-month campaign.

The initiative also highlights the strong connection between local utilities and the communities they serve, saidChelsea Parent, Community Engagement Specialist with the HSN Foundation.,

"A simple switch to electronic billing may seem like a small action, but together, these small actions can make a life-changing difference for children and families," said Parent. She added that every new registration helps support specialized care, equipment, and spaces designed to meet the unique needs of children receiving care through the NEO Kids Pediatric Care Fund.

By combining customer convenience, environmental benefits, and community support, Sudbury Hydro is showing how small actions can create a positive impact. Through this campaign, customers have an opportunity to support local pediatric care while simplifying their billing process and making a difference to the environment.
