EDA’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Conference: Moving from Awareness to Action

Join us on November 25th as we unpack this crucial topic at EDA’s 2022 DEI Conference, Moving from Awareness to Action at the Carlu in Toronto. This annual marquis event (formerly known as Women Connected) is now celebrating its 10th year!

In today’s business world, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are often treated as buzzwords that amount to little more than a mandatory training session or other measures with little impact. The reality is that when you make DEI a priority, every facet of your organization benefits, including the bottom line.

DEI programs are an essential aspect of building engaged and happy employees. Organizations with robust DEI initiatives are more likely to have employees with increased job satisfaction and higher levels of trust and engagement. But it’s not just morale that lifts when DEI programs are made a priority; the benefits extend to every level of your company and beyond.

While there isn’t a one-size-fits-all rule book for weaving a successful DEI program into the fabric of your organization, the first step in any plan is informing yourself. Begin your journey by learning what DEI truly is, furthering your understanding of the value it can bring to your company and staff team, and most importantly, how to move beyond awareness to meaningful action.

For the past decade, this event has provided EDA members and other energy partners a forum to share learnings aimed at influencing corporate social responsibility, broadening cross-cultural learning, increasing employee satisfaction, and improving corporate financial performance.
